Zetra Hall

Cultural Reception for all Annual Meeting Participants with a welcome address by HE Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers

Coach transfer from 18:45 at the Parliamentary Assembly Building

The Host Country Authorities will arrange coach transfers from the Parliamentary Assembly Building to the Reception as well as a service from the Reception to the official hotels.

The Host Country, with its capital often referred to as the European Jerusalem, famed for its multicultural society, has created a unique, immersive experience, for all participants of the EBRD Annual Meeting 2019. Specially designed for this occasion, the reception and cultural performance will take place in the great Olympic hall, demonstrating the true power of diversity. This program aims to present Bosnia and Herzegovina through its unique and diverse cultural characteristics. This culture has been shaped by generations of coexistence in a society that is the perfect blend of East meets West.

Starting with a performance by NBO orchestra**, offered by the EBRD, the Host performance will combine traditional and modern sounds, with dances featuring some of Bosnia and Herzegovina most famous artists and performers. The cultural performance will be followed by a cocktail reception.

**No Borders Orchestra and Orkestar Mladih BiH are delighted to be working together on a concert for this year's EBRD Annual Meeting in Sarajevo.

Orkestar Mladih BiH is the first country-wide youth orchestra of Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in 2018 upon initiative of the Embassy of Italy in Sarajevo, which launched a public call of selection of the best young musicians from across the country. The founding members were selected by Maestro Igor Coretti Kuret, founder and Artistic Director of the European Spirit of Youth Orchestra, who conducted Orkestar Mlaidh BiH’s opening concert at the Sarajevo National Theater on October 15th, 2018.

No Borders Orchestra, established as a civil society organisation in both Berlin and Belgrade, is an orchestra comprised of excellent professional musicians from across the Western Balkans. It grew out of the desire to create a regional cross-border symphony orchestra, one that delivers artistic quality and calls for a new kind of communication. The NBO project rests on two main foundations: music and society.

The Reception is open to all participants (including all registered partners) attending the Annual Meeting providing they wear the Annual Meeting security badge.  For security reasons, the AM badge must be worn at all times.  Security will deny access to any person, including partners, who are not in possession of the badge.

Guests are requested to arrive before the delivery of the welcome address.
